InAlliance is a private, nonprofit agency providing services
to adults with developmental disabilities and acquired brain injury.
Services focus
on job placement, on-site training and the development of supports
necessary for employment and community living.
Founded in 1952 by a
group of parents seeking to enrich the lives of their children with
developmental disabilities, InAlliance has grown
to serve more than 350 consumers annually. In 1984, InAlliance transitioned
from a sheltered workshop to Supported Employment, placing more than
200 consumers in integrated employment sites. In 1993, InAlliance began
supported living services. Today, InAlliance has seven programs in
Sacramento and El Dorado counties, 150+ staff, and works with more
than 100 employers
offering job opportunities.
InAlliance is a United Way Agency and is
a fully accredited member of the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation
Facilities. In
addition,
InAlliance is the recipient of three outstanding performance awards
from the National Industry for the Severely Handicapped, a County commendation
for outstanding community services, and the Human Rights Award from
the
City and County of Sacramento.
Eligibility Requirements:
- 18 years or older
- Referred and funded by Alta California Regional
Center or Department of Rehabilitation
- Diagnosed developmental
disability or acquired brain injury
